Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin is a Canadian as well as a New Zealand actress. She was born in Winnipeg and born in Wellington Paquin has made her acting debut as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she was awarded an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 11 making her the second youngest winner of the award in Oscar history. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin, born July 24, 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster as Best Supporting Actress portraying the inquisitive and talkative daughter of Holly Hunter's main character on the film The Piano. After a public audition, aged nineteen, she became Flora McGrath - the daughter of a Scottish musician who was mute in the 19th century. They was able to move in New Zealand to marry an unplanned husband. In her teens She moved from New Zealand to United States. Paquin had the role of lead in the film Fly Away Home in 1996 and also had a small part as Jane Eyre as only a child. Paquin performed the role of Frankie Addams in a 1997 television movie adaptation of Carson McCullers's novel The Member of the Wedding and played the role as Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). She played teenage girls in of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) and also played in the role of the polexia Aphrodisa the groupie of Almost Famous (2000).
