Kelly Clarkson was an American artist and songwriter who was the sweetheart of America after she took home American Idol in the first season. It was not just the winning that ushered Kelly Clarkson into the limelight and fortune, but it also secured her an arrangement to RCA Records 19 Recordings & "S Records" for a series of albums. Since then she has released many studio albums, including three which topped the US Billboard 200' chart, while her other albums barely missed the coveted spot. She's among the most popular stars to come out of American Idol. She started to explore music and themes after her fame grew. Due to her distinctiveness and talent as a singer and songwriter, she received praise from reviewers and was awarded a couple of notable award. The most notable accomplishment is that she won the Grammy Award three times. In addition to her musical career, she also has worked in film and TV. She also wrote the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved with a number of charities.
